Pioneering Cloud Computing Projects: Transforming the Landscape of IT
Cloud Computing, a cutting-edge paradigm, involves storing applications and data on remote secured servers instead of local systems. It stands as a top choice for engineering students' final-year projects, transitioning from a promising business idea to one of the fastest-growing segments in the IT industry. Cloud computing, also known as on-demand computing, delivers shared processing resources and data to computers and devices over the Internet.
In the realm of cloud computing projects, deduplication emerges as a critical aspect. Deduplication ensures the storage of a single copy of identical data, gaining significance with the exponential increase in cloud-stored data. Convergent encryption facilitates deduplication by encrypting identical plaintext into the same ciphertext, overcoming challenges posed by traditional encryption. The novel client-side deduplication protocol, KeyD, utilizes Identity-based Broadcast Encryption (IBBE) to manage convergent keys without the need for an independent key management server. KeyD ensures data confidentiality, convergent key security, and protects ownership privacy, minimizing storage costs and communication overhead.
Another project focuses on attribute-based keyword search (ABKS) in a cloud environment where data is outsourced in encrypted form due to the untrusted nature of cloud providers. Introducing Key-policy Attribute-based Temporary Keyword Search (KP-ABTKS), this cryptographic primitive enables search tokens to extract ciphertexts generated within a specified time interval. Proven secure against selectively chosen keyword attacks, the scheme achieves keyword secrecy and operates under the hardness of the Decisional Bilinear Diffie-Hellman (DBDH) assumption. With linear complexity concerning the number of involved attributes, KP-ABTKS stands as a practical and secure solution for temporary keyword searches.
Embark on a journey of innovation and security with these cloud computing projects, shaping the future of information technology.
